      SERVICE HERE WEDNESDAY

      W.F. Scneder Well Known in Topeka and in Jackson County
      Funeral services for William F. Scneder, 72, former Topekan, who died Friday in Wichita, will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary. Dr. Harold C. Case of the First Methodist Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

      Scneder was born Sept. 3, 1865, in Greensburg, Pa., and came to Jackson County, Kansas in 1877. He lived in Topeka several years as an employee of the state department of education, and was prominently identified with educational activities in Jackson and Shawnee counties. He was a member of Blue Lodge No. 42, A.F. & A.M. of Holton, Scottish Rite and Topeka Consistory.

      Surviving Scneder are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Scneder, Wichita; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Shaw, Cheyenne, Wyoming; a son, John Scneder, Topeka; and five grandchildren.

      Ada --- Word reached Ada Saturday of the passing of Will Scneder, at his home in Wichita Friday morning. Mr. Scneder was the last of five brothers to go. He is survived by two sisters. He was quite well-known here. Funeral was in Topeka Monday. [1]
