    Carolyn Brain is Dead at 83; Rites Pending
    Mrs. Carolyn Brain, 83, of 604 NW 17, died in an Oklahoma City rest home Thursday. She crushed a vertebra in an accidental fall last February and had been hospitalized most of the time since.
    Born at McAlester, Mrs. Brain lived all her life in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. She organized the Beauceant, an organization for wives of 32nd degree Masons here, and belonged to the Colonial Dames and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a charter member of the Motherhood Culture Club.
    Her husband, Clarence Brain, died about six years ago.
    Surviving are a son, Gilbert Brain of the home; a sister, Mrs. Kyle Browder, Port Isabel, Texas; and a brother R. B. Tennent, Springfield, Ore.
