    Robert Allen McClanahan was born on August 7, 1948 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky to Joseph Junior Adelene Hicks McClanahan and passed away on Januaruy 15, 2009 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 60 years, 5 months, and 8 days.

    Robert was a Group Leader with the Signode Corporation in Florence, KY for 37 years andhe was a 1966 graduate of Pendleton Co. High School.

    In addition to his mother Adelene McClanahan, Robert is survived by his wife Ada Spicer Gross; one son: Rodney A. McClanahan of Williamstown; two step daughters: Tracy Ryan of Union and Trish Price of Verona; threebrothers: Larry R. McClanahan, Charles J. McClanahan, and James G. McClanahan all of Williamstown, KY; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

    Services will be held at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. The burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.

    Joseph Junior McClanahan, 85, of Williamstown, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County in Williamstown.

    He was born in Aurora, Ind., a son of the late Joseph R and Cassie Ann Sanders McClanahan.

    He was a lifelong farmer and a retired in 1984 as a machinist for Lunkenheimer Valve Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an Army veteran, serving in Germany and Central Europe during World War II.

    Survivors include his wife, Adelene Hicks McClanahan; sons, Larry McClanahan, Charles McClanahan and James McClanahan; all of Williamstown, and Robert McClanahan of Dry Ridge; brothers, Donald McClanahan of Blanchester, Ohio, and Ronald McClanahan of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Mildred Whaley of Williamstown and Jewel Hamon of Florence; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held March 18 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown with Rev. Steve Alford officiating.

    Burial was in Williamstown Cemetery.

    Adelene McClanahan of the Locust Grove Community of Williamstown, was born March 20, 1926 in Grant County, KY, and died Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Grant Center, in Williamstown at the age of 91.

    She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Tinnie Kinman Hicks, a farmer and former assembler for the Gibson Winery, and a member of the Gumlick Baptist Church. On September 6, 1944 she was united in marriage to Joseph Junior McClanahan who died March 14, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert Allen and James Garol McClanahan

    Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, July 30, 2017 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-9:00pm Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the funeral home.

    Several from here attended Memorial services at Aurora Thursday.
    Reuben McClanahan a resident of Harrison Ridge for the past nine years, died of paralysis at his home, May 31, 1918, aged 69 years. He was a member of the Christian church and well versed in the bible. Mr. McClanahan was of a pleasant and jovial disposition and will be sadly missed. The body was taken Saturday to Dry Ridge, Ky., for burial. His death is especially sad, there being two taken from a household of three within a week. The youngest son Ernest was called to the military camp on the Monday before.
