    Lola M. Shellenberger, 95, widow of George H. Shellenberger, died Sunday at Mayfair Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born in Jessamine County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel D. and Lucy Hagedorn Moody.

    Mrs. Shellenberger was a retired employee of Your Hardware and was a long time member of the Versailles Baptist Church. She had also been employed at the old bus station and the rail express in Versailles.

    Survivors include two daughters, Martha S. (Ronald H.) Reed of Woodford County, Evelyn L. Shellenberger of Flagler Beach, FL, a stepson, Charles Roger (Shirley) Shellenberger of Lexington, four grandchildren Thomas Reed, Carrie Rudzik, Karl Shellenberger, Sona Jewell, Nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Rohrer, Ruth Figg, and a brother, Raymond Moody.

    Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 27 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11:00 am, Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Rev. John Brandon officiating. Burial will follow at the Versailles Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tom Stone, Jason Rudzick, Karl Shellenberger, Sam Rhorer, Freddy Lane, and J. M. Lane. Honorary pallbearers will be the KFC Friday night group, Evelyn Brandon, Nellie Donnell, Betty Dozier, Frances James, Roberta Hume, Wanda Hill, Joyce Robinson, Joyce Perkins, Eva Tingle, Louise May, Margaret Whalen, Bonnie Sharp and Joyce Craig

She is survived by four small children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hagerdon, a sister, Mrs. Edgar Moody, and two brothers, Lambert Hagerdon, Jr., and James Hagerdon, of Jessamine county. The funeral services will be held at the Baptist church in Wilmore Saturday morning at 10:30 o’clock and the body will be buried in the Nicholasville cemetery.

    Nicholasville, Ky., March 3, - George W. Moody, 70, died at his home in the Bethel neighborhood this afternoon following a short illness.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Moody; two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Joe Blankenship, Mrs. John Davis, Edgar, john and Mike Moody, all of Jessamine county; two sisters, Mrs. S.E. Harris and Mrs. Blanch Kissick.
    Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. R.L. Badgett. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harrison Duncan, W.W. Overstreet, Ollie Corman, E. and L.S. Cassity and L.B. Hagerdorn.

    Mechanicsburg, O., Aug. 20. – Typhoid fever is raging in epidemic form at Plumwood, nine miles east of here. About 20 cases are reported.

    Peculiar – When there was so much typhoid fever in town last year it was remarked as a strange fact that all of the cases were those of residents of the south side of the thoroughfares Main, Sudduth and High streets. This year all of the numerous cases are situated on the north side of the same streets.
