Bargar of near Meadville, and was reared in that vicinity where she had a host of friends. She was about 30 years of age, and leaves a husband and five little children who have the sympathy of this entire community in which they were well known and highly esteemed. The bereaved husband is a son of Joseph B. Thorne of near Linneus.

He has always lived on a farm and now owns a splendid farm of three hundred and eighty acres. He was married in Linn County, Missouri, November 13, 1873, to Miss Lucy B. Sutherland, a native of Missouri. They have a family of three children: Mary, born September 13, 1874; Joseph T., born August 22, 1977; William W. born March 6, 1860.
