    Judy L. Barbre, 63, of Urbana died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday (July 5, 2015) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

    Judy was born on March 31, 1952 in Danville, a daughter of John and Irene (Smith) Hanks. She married Robert Barbre. He died in March of 2006. Judy was also preceded in death by her parents.

    Surviving are one sister, Nancy Hill; five nephews, Rick (Kim), Kevin (Tootie), Doug (Mary Beth), John (Lael) and Chris (Jenny); 10 great-nephews and two great-nieces.

    Judy worked for and retired from the State of Illinois. She was a member of the Champaign Christian Church.

    Mrs. Daisy Smith
    Allerton – Mrs. Daisy I Smith, 79, of Allerton, died Sunday morning (Oct. 15, 1978) at the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. She had been ill three years.
    She had resided on a farm north of Allerton during her married life until retirement in 1967.
    She was a member of the Allerton Church of Christ. He enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
    Born Aug. 20, 1899, in Neoga, she was the daughter of Francis and Alice Wisely Easton. She was married Sept 26. 1918, at Danville to Leonard W. Smith, who died Jan. 10, 1978.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Irene) Hanks of Allerton and Mrs. Kenneth (Lois) Dodd of Danville; two brothers, Nolon Easton of Tolono and Allen Easton of Mnrovia, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lannon of Urbana; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Allerton Church of Christ, with the Rev. Bob Reagor officiating. Burial will be in Young American Cemetery at Hume. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Honnold & Son Funeral Home in Sidell. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services.

    Homer (CNS) – Mrs. Ada Hedges Smith, 90, died at 8:30 p.m. (Nov. 14, 1965) at the Smoot Nursing Home in Tilton where she had been a patient five years.
    She formerly lived on Homer rural route and in Danville.
    She was born at Farmerburg, Ky., Aug. 15, 1875, the daughter of James and Philora Hitchcock Hedges. She was married to Tom Smith on Aug. 7, 1892 at Homer. He died in 1933.
    Surviving are two sons, Lester of Metcalf and Leonard of Homer rural route; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Brazelton of Hume; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
    She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
    She was a member of the Church of Christ of Danville and the Perseverence Band.
    The body is at the Jeanes-Kirby Funeral Home in Homer where funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ernest Eckhoff officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery at Fairmount. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

    Former Tolono Resident Dies At Home of Daughter in Homer
    Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Smith of Homer for Alice May Easton, who died there Saturday afternoon of hemorrhage.
    Rev. J.M> Bean of the Presbyterian church officiated. The body was brought to Tolono Monday for burial in the Ash Grove cemetery.
    Mrs. Easton was a former resident of Tolono. She is survived by her husband and three sons, Ernest, Noel and Allen, and three daughters, Mrs. L. Smith of Homer, Mrs. Lannon of Philo and a daughter in Chicago.
