    Kenneth "Carl" Hunt, 86, of South Shore, Ky., awoke with our Lord on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at South Shore, Ky.

    Mr. Hunt was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Greenup County at Walsh, Ky., the youngest son of the late Godfrey "Harry" Hunt and Nellie Harr Hunt. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Clarence and Raymond Hunt; and one sister, Lucille Hunt Miller.

    He raised his family as a proud farmer for many years, and received an honorary commissioner of agriculture from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He retired from Greenup County Schools as a school bus driver. He was a member of South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the European Theater, where he fought in five major battles, including Normandy Beachhead and Battle of the Bulge. He was in the 83rd Infantry division and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

    Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Ota Bentley Hunt; four children, Harry (Gloria) Hunt of Raceland, Ky., Laura (David) Kiser of Hamlin, W.Va., Lois (Phillip) Coyle of Richmond, Ky., and Paul (Connie) Hunt of South Shore, Ky.; one sister, Mabel Bosley, 95, of South Shore, Ky.; one brother, Morris Hunt, 90, of South Shore; eight grandchildren, Melanie (Jason) Tolliver, Craig (Paula) Hunt, Geffrey (Bevin) Kiser, Karan (Benjie) Smith, Traci (Scott) McIntosh, Brian (Shanna) Reeder, Matthew (Tessa) Hunt and Michael (Brandi) Hunt; 10 great-grandchildren, Justin and Josie Tolliver, Hayden Hunt, Keely and Anna Kiser, David and Kailyn Smith, Morgan and Tanner McIntosh, and Brady Reeder; and several nieces and nephews.

    Services will be noon Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Morton Funeral Home in South Shore, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating and burial in Siloam Cemetery in South Shore. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice, Pollard Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101, or South Shore Nursing and Rehab, James Hannah Drive, South Shore, KY 41175.

    Godfrey Harrison Hunt "Harry" Hunt, 76, of South Shore died at 6:10 p.m. Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Miller of South Shore.

    Mr. Hunt had suffered from a long illness. He was a retired farmer.

    Mr. Hunt was born in Walsh, Ky, Feb. 19, 1877, a son of Taylor and Louise Nippert Hunt.

    During 1899, he married Nellie Agnes Harr, who died in 1947. Their seven children live in South Shore. They are Richard, Clarence, Raymond, Morris and Kenneth Hunt, Mrs. Lucille Miller and Mrs. Mabel Sammons.

    A brother, T.A. Hunt, makes his home in South Charleston, W.Va.

    Preceding Mr. Hunt in death were his wife, parents, and two infant daughters. Seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Bennett's Chapel Church at Walsh with Rev. William Mosley and Rev. Richard Cleary officiating.

    Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Home.

    Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Arthur Miller in South Shore after 3 p.m. today.

    Mrs. Nellie Agnes Hunt, 62, wife of Harry Hunt, died at their home in Fullerton at 1:59 a.m. today after an illness of 10 months.

    She was born in Greenup Co Feb.15, 1885, and resided there all her life. She was married to Mr. Hunt in December 1899.
    Surviving besides her husband are five sons: Richard, Clarence, Raymond, Carl and Morris, all of Fullerton; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Miller and Mrs. Charles Sammons, both of South Shore; two sisters, Mrs. T. M. Nippert of Raceland, and Mrs. P.C. Howertes of South Portsmouth; a brother James A. Harr of Stenton, Ky., and 13 grandchildren.

    Two daughters preceded Mrs. Hunt in death.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bennet's Chapel Methodist church with Rev. William Mosely officiating.
    Burial will be in Bennet's Chapel cemetery under the direction of Morton funeral home.

    The body will be taken to the Hunt resident at 3 p.m. today and remain there until the funeral.

    Mrs. Louisa Hunt passed away at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Nippert, at Raceland, Ky., Saturday, April 10th, at 7:30 p.m. after an extended illness, due to infirmities. Her husband, the late Taylor Hunt, of Wash, Ky., died March 15th, 1918.

    The following children are left to mourn the passing of a dear mother: C. A. Hunt of Sprataghill, W.Va, Mrs. Dora Roberts of Fullerton. Harry of Fullerton, Ky., Oscar of Portsmouth, O., Mrs. C. E. Fannia of Oak Hill, O., and Mrs. A. C. Nippert of Raceland, Ky.

    Two children passed away in infancy. She also leaves one brother, Henry Nippert, of Oak Hill, eighteen grand-children and three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

    Mrs. Hunt was born in Monroe County, Ohio, July 29th, 1844, the daughter of Godfery and Saloma Nippert. The family moved to Walsh, Ky. in her girlhood days and the greater part of her life was spent there. She united with the M.E. Church at 12 years of age and lived a consistent Christian life until God in His wisdom saw fit to call her to that home she has strived so hard to win. She was active in church work as long as she was able. She was always happiest when doing something for her Master, and will be missed, not only by her relatives, but by the community in which she lived.

    The body will arrive at Fullerton on the morning C. & O. train No.17, taken to the Fullerton M.E. Church where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m.
