Notes - Mrs. Lela May Callaway of Hale Dies at Age of 95
Mrs. Lela May Callaway, 95, died yesterday morning at 11 o'clock in the Hale residence of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Lyons.
Born Dec. 10, 1872, in the Hale community, she was the daughter of. John Parker and Mary (Wilson) Parker. She was reared in the Hale community.
On Jan. 1, 1900, Lela May Parker married Richard Callaway. He
preceded her in death.
Mrs. Callaway Was a charter member of the Hale Methodist
church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lyons of Hale, Mrs. Mary Stephenson of DeWitt, and Mrs. Bonnie Hedges of Horton, Kan.; a son, Ralph Callaway of Hale; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Austin-Lindley Funeral Home in Hale with the Rev. Robert Gant officiating.
Interment will be in the Hurricane Cemetery, south of Hale.
