- Modoc Woman Dies at 81; Rites Friday
Mrs. Matilda Jane Razor, 81, of near Modoc, died at 7:35 o’clock Tuesday night at the Wood Nursing Home in Mooreland after a short illness.
She had been living at the home of a son, Thomas, one mile west of Modoc on U.S. 36, until she became ill.
In addition to Thomas, she is survived by three other sons, Chris, of R.R.1, Mooreland; Allie, of Salt Lick, Ky., and George, of R.R.5, New Castle; one daughter, Mrs. Fannie Rogers of Lebo, Kans.; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Myers of Middletown, O., and Mrs. Effie Stanton of Winchester, Ky.; two brothers, Luther Cook of Omar, W.Va., and Robert Cook of Sharpsburg, Ky.; 33 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Church of God in New Castle at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon by the Rev. Dewey Hole of Muncie. Burial will be in Mt. Summit Cemetery. The body is to be removed from the Fox and Macer funeral home in New Castle to the residence of the son, Thomas, where friends may call after 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon.
