Above information was taken from his Death Certificate.
He married Melvina Muck, 12/20/1883 in Milan, Sullivan Co., Missouri. They later divorced.
Samuel later married Annie Elizabeth Anderson and at least eight children were born to this union. Only four children of this union lived to adulthood.

- Bishoff Rites At Cloverport
Helped Build L., H. & St. L.; One of Oldest Employes
Coverport, Ky. Jan. 17. (Special) – The funeral of Samuel H. Bishoff, who died at his home here Tuesday, will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Rev. H.A. Ackland, pastor of the Baptist church, will have charge of the services at the home, and the Masonic burial rites will be said at the grave in the Cloverport cemetery. Mr. Bishoff was 61 years old. He was a Virginian by birth, and came to Kentucky in 1888. He was married May 1, 1897 to Miss Annie Elizabeth Anderson, of Owensboro, who survives with three daughters, Misses Elizabeth, Mary and Margaret Bishoff and one son, Richard Bishoff. Besides several brothers and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Springgate, of Missouri. Mr. Bishoff started working for the L.H. & St. L. railway company in 1888 when the road was first being built and he remained in the employment of the company until his death. He was Supervisor of Maintenance of way from Cloverport to Henderson. Mr. Bishoff had been ill since September with sugar diabetes, which caused his death.
