- Mrs. Andrew Erlcson died October 15, at 6:30 a. m. at her home in Everly, her death being caused by dropsy, from which she had suffered for nearly seven years. During this time she bore her affliction with courage and Christian patience.
Mrs. Ericson was born at Nora, Sweden, Sept. 11, 1854. She attended school In her homeland and was baptized and confirmed In the Evangelical Lutheran church. She came to America October 7. 1880 and lived at Galva, Illinois
She was married Sept. 1, 1881 to Andrew Ericson, who at that tune was employed In a coal mine.
They lived In Illinois for seven years, and then moved to a farm nine miles northwest of Everly; later they moved six miles north of Everly and In 1920 they retired and moved to Everly, where they have since resided.
Mrs. Erlcson was the mother of nine children, eight sons and one daughter. Three of the sons died In
Infancy.
One son, Emll, died nine years ago, a victim of the flu.
She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, four sons, Julius, Melvin, William and Elmer, and one daughter, Selma, now
Mrs. Klarstrom. twelve grand children and one great grandchild.
She was 75 years. 1 month and 4 days old at the time of her death.
Mrs. Erlcson was honest and hard working, a faithful wife and a loving mother.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and at 2:30 at the Lutheran church. Rev. J. L. Seitzinger, the pastor of the church will officiate.
Interment will be made in Lone Tree cemetery.
