    • Mrs. Alda Alice Tattershall
      Alda Alice Garrett, daughter of J.J. and M.H. Garrett, was born June 27, 1884, and departed this life April 16, 1945, at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 11 days.
      She was married to C.C. Tattershall, December 14, 1904. To this union two sons were born, Harley Irven of Kansas City, and Herbert Orvyan, now serving his country overseas.
      She united with the Church of Christ at the age of 17 years and continued in that faith.
      Those who preceded her in death were her father, J.J. Garrett; her husband, Clarence Tattershall; a sister, Mrs. Lillie McGhee; one brother, Erby Garrett.
      She leaves to mourn her departure, her aged mother, Mrs. J.J. Garrett of Browning; two brothers, Oca A. and J.W. Garrett, of Browning; three sisters, Mrs. John Hedges of Purdin; Mrs. Ben Peery, of Linneus, Missouri, and Mrs. Homer Bivens, of Denver, Colorado, two grandchildren, Donald Ray and Jo Ann Tattershall; a host of relatives and friends, for to know her was to love her.
      Graveside services were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, conducted by Rev. H.P. Anglen, pastor of the Methodist Church of Purdin, and the body was laid to rest in the Purdin cemetery. Pall bearers were: Earnest Pearson, Will Fishback, Ben Peery, John Hedges, Lee Ellis Hedges and Ivan Hedges.
