- Walter H. Bell
New Castle, Ind. – Walter H. Bell, 66, 751 Kentland, father of Daleville resident Walter H. Bell Jr., died Saturday in Henry County Memorial Hospital
Mr. Bell worked for Chrysler Corp. for 34 years before retiring in 1979. He was an amateur radio operator and was instrumental in the communication between foreign missionaries and their families.
He attended Bible Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Kissick Bell; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Mary) Price, Greensboro, and Mrs. Earl (Carolyn) Thrasher, New Castle; two other sons, Ronald Bell, Anderson, and Michael L. Bell, Bicknell; his mother, Addie Bell, New Castle; three sisters, Emaline Pryor, New Castle, Bonnie Warinner, Markleville, and Marceline Pierce, Edwardsburg, Mich.; two brothers, Isaac and Raymond Bell, both of New Castle; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bible Holiness Church. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery, Westlawn Addition. Calling is 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at Main & Frame Funeral Home and an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
Memorial may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
