    • Mrs. Teresa J. Hoke, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 at Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Hoke for 68 years.

      Born in Walkersville, she was the daughter of the late John and Cora Jamison. Teresa was an organist for Barton Funeral Home, Stauffer Funeral Home and her church, Glade United Church of Christ for over 25 years. She was a member of the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Co., charter member of The Glade Valley Grange and served as a pianist for The Maryland State Grange.

      She is survived by her daughters, Emily H. Roberts of Frederick and Margaret L. Krow and husband, James of Jensen Beach, Fla.; three granddaughters, Mary Montgomery and husband, Kurt, Anne Warnsman and husband, Mark and Sarah Joynes and husband, Chris; three great-grandchildren; Abigail and Graham Montgomery and Harlan Warnsman.

      In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nena M. Jamison and son-in-law, Thomas H. Roberts.

      A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Glade United Church of Christ, 21 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, where family will receive friends one hour prior. Rev. Dr. Gerald C. Hanberry will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Those serving as bearers, Steve Burrier, Chad Weddle, Charles Nicodemus, Jack Shoemaker, Paul Stull, Donald Cecil, Vaughn Zimmerman and Bob Stull.

      Memorial contributions may be made in Teresa's honor to her church, Glade United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 236, Walkersville, MD 21793 or the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are being handled by Stauffer Funeral Home, Walkersville. Condolences may be expressed to the Hoke family at www.staufferfuneralhome.com.
