Richard Wayne Harbaugh, 67, of Renner Road, Keymar, died Friday, Jan. 7, 1994, at Frederick Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months.
Born March 21, 1926, in Frederick County, he was a son of the late Bruce and Mary Hedges Harbaugh.
He was the husband of Virginia G. Harbaugh.
He was a member of Thurmont United Methodist Church. He served with the U.S. Army as a lineman with the Signal Corps.
He was self-employed building contractor for most of his life, and was then employed with Thomas, Bennett and Hunter as a foreman for seven years prior to retirement in 1982.
Surviving, in addition to his wife are daughters Mary E. Funk of near Woodsboro, Judy F. Bohn of near Frederick and Alice L. Ritter of Fairfield, Pa.; sister Catherine L. Himes of Apopka, Fla.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter Linda D. Harbaugh; brothers Lee Harbaugh, Bruch Harbaugh and Bernard Harbaugh; sister Alice Swift and granddaughter Nicki Ritter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Woodsboro Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler, with his pastor, Rev. Kenneth C. Hamrick, officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery near Woodsboro.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
