    • Benjamin R. Weidner, 76, Delphi rural route 1, died Thursday at St Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, after a three-month illness.

      Born March 24, 1888 in Illinois he was the son of Michael and Christina Wetland Weidner. He was married September 30, 1924, to Effie J. Boyce, who survives.

      A Yeoman barber, be was formerly owner of Ben’s Tavern in Delphi He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Yeoman Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Illinois and the Knights of Pythias He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Delphi community for 25 years.

      Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Harry Clark, Freeport, N. Y.; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

      Services were held Sunday at the Cornell Funeral Home with Rev. William Moon officiating. Burial was made in Yeoman Cemetery.
