Reva was born in Linneus on May 13, 1914. She was the daughter of Elmer and Mildred (Cooper) Alexander. Reva graduated from Linneus High School in 1932. On January 14, 1934, she married Herman Glenn Smith who preceded her in death on August 1, 2004. The couple spent 70 years of "happily ever after".

Her dedication to God and her family were her life long passions. After moving from the farm to Meadville in 1968, she and Glenn were the school custodians and she helped with the cooking in the school cafeteria.

Survivors include one son, Virgil Smith and wife, Janeta of Meadville; four grandchildren, Joy Main and husband, Jerry Lynn of Bucklin, Jill Angell and husband, Jed of Centralia, Darren Smith and wife, Jackie of Meadville, and Blaine Smith and wife, Mishelle of Meadville; 13 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Meadville Church of Christ with Pastor Jed Angell officiating. Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery in Meadville. Friends may stop by Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Meadville Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 in the evening and the family will receive friends on Saturday at the Meadville Church of Christ from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service.
