    • MHR note: "Forrest" joined the Christian Church about August 1950. He was a trucker hauling coal. He worked for the L & N Rail Road for awhile and farmed.

      The Vawter part of his name was for Ashby Vawter Hedges, his cousin, who visited in Corbin in 1926 and had not learned of his cousin Amelia's death.
