    Services Held for Mrs. P.T. Cassity
    Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 10, 1963, 2:00 p.m. from the Balko Apostolic Faith Church for Mrs. Mary Ellen Cassity, who passed from this life at her home March 7 after a long illness of nine months.
    Ministers officiating were Rev. Floyd LaMunyan of Laverne, Okla. and Rev. Mark Adair of Canyon, Texas. A quartet consisting of Rev. and Mrs. Jack Cornell and Mr. and Mrs. Oren Malone, sang two song, “Good Night Here and Good Morning Up There” and “Going Down The Valley.” Rev. and Mrs. Floyd LaMunyan sang, “The Land To Which I’m Going.”
    Active Casket Bearers were: Vernie Law, Clarence law, Henry Noble, Bill Taylor, Woodrow Reddick and Charles Zimmerman.
    Interment was in the Balko Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Goodner Funeral Home.

    Leonard Harrison Cassity, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. T.P. Cassity of Balko, Oklahoma, departed this life, April 30, 1930, near Harris, Missouri, at the age of 16 years and 12 days.
    He was born near Baldo, Okla., April 18, 1914. He leaves to mourn his death, his father and mother, four brothers, Howard, Delbert, Claude and Lee Cassity, a sister, Mrs. Iva Reed preceded him in death; a grandmother, two uncles, ten aunts and a host of relatives and friends.
    Leonard, accompanied his father and mother to Lucune, Missouri, where his mother had been called to the bedside of her sister, Mrs. Louie Bobbs, While playing he ruptured a blood vessel in his arm with caused his death.
    You who weep for him today,
    Know you not that he has found
    Footing on a surer ground?
    He is done with care and pain,
    Failure cannot strike again.
    God has called him out of strife
    To a cleaner, ampler life.
    Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D.L. Jewett of Laverne.
