    • Sarah M. Newton
Sarah M. Newton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Farson, was born near Harietsville, Ohio, June 15, 1851, and died at her home in Winigan, Mo., April 15, 1932. Age 80 years and 10 months. She was united in marriage to John W. Newton, Oct. 10, 1871 and to this union 8 children were born. Her husband and three children, Emma, Mary and Wesly preceded her in death. There are five children living, Mrs. J.A. Graham, Mrs. J.H. Payne, Clara Newton, Chas. Newton and W.A. Newton of Bozeman, Mont. She united with the Christian Church in 1889, and remained a faithful member until death. She was sick for several weeks but she was very patient. Everything was done that loving hands could do but her time had come and she said she was ready to go. She was a loving wife, a kind and affectionate mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss, her five children, 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, one sister and four brothers and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral was conducted at the Fairview Church by Rev. Wheeler of Green City, where she was laid to rest to await the Resurrection.
A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
      That never can be filled.
