      Emma J. Blaylock, nee Gills, 69, of Cahokia, Ill., born Aug. 13, 1935, in Rector, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital, East St. Louis, Ill.
      Mrs. Blaylock was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Cahokia, Ill.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary, nee DeFoe, Gills; and a brother, James A. Gills.
      Surviving are her husband, Robert A. Blaylock; her four children, Robert "Arlen" (Theresa) Blaylock of Waterloo, Ill., Carla (Paul) Janssen of St. Cloud, Minn., Mark B. (Tracey) Blaylock of Hannibal, Mo., and Laura (Ron) McCain of Cahokia, Ill.; two brothers, Henry Wayne (Frances) Gills of Moscow Mills, Mo., and John Paul (Bonnie) Gills of Eureka, Mo.; three sisters, Owanda (Dale) Eades of Eureka, Mo., Hettie (Bill) Rubottom of Decatur, Ill., and JoAnn Latham of O'Fallon, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren, Jeanetta, Rebecca, Michael, Rachelle, Nicholas, Heather, Marquella, Evangelynn, Ronald Jr., Hope, Emalee and Matthias. She was our dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

      Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Ill., and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Cahokia, Ill.

      Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Cahokia, Ill., with the Rev. James Wood officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
