      Services were to be at 11 a.m. today at the Welsheimer Funeral Home, South Bend, for Cecil C. McHENRY, 87, of 112 E. Oakside St., South Bend.

      Burial was to be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne St., South Bend, 46617.

      Mr. McHenry died at 5:50 a.m. Friday at Medco Nursing Home, South Bend. He was born Sept. 9, 1903 in Rochester to Bruce and Haddie CASTLE McHENRY. On Aug. 18, 1934 in South Bend he married Irene H. HAERENS, who survives. He was retired after 32 years with the South Bend Fire Department, of which he was a chief from 1963-68. He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.

      Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Margaret KOMP, South Bend; a son, Dr. Thomas B. McHENRY, West Lafayette; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
