      Kenneth E. Oliver, 55, 215 Section Ave., LaRue, died 12:40 p.m. Wednesday in Marion General Hospital.
      He was born March 18, 1926 in Charleston, W.Va. and was married June 17, 1946 to Elsie Hyatt Oliver, who survives.
      For 27 years he was a welder and burner at Marion Power Shovel Co., where he was a member of the Twenty-Five Year Club. He was a resident of LaRue 11 years, moving from Hardin County.
      Also surviving are 5 sons, Floyd, Robert J. and James E., all of Marion, Oral R. of LaRue and Garland R., with the Army in Japan; 3 daughters, Mrs. Larry (Edris) French of North Carolina, Mrs. Frank (Eva) Skidmore of Marion and Mrs. Harold (Deborah) Lewis of LaRue; a brother, Charles Oliver of Marion and 14 grandchildren. A brother and sister are deceased.
      Services will be conducted in Freewill Baptist Church, Gebhardt Street by the Rev. Daniel Cooper. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery.
      Boyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.
