    • Gladwin Adolph Read
      Gladwin Adolph Read, 91, retired president of Gladwin A. Read Co., died Friday in Oakwood terrace Nursing Center in Evanston. Mr. Read, a native of Junction City, Kan. was a graduate of Kansas State College and received his master's degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He managed the William Randolph Hearst Poultry and Game Bird Farm in San Simeon, Calif. He moved to Chicago in 1939 and worked for Borden Co. and Chemical Corp. before starting his own company in 1954. Gladwin A. Read Co. is a manufacturer's representative for micronutrients used in animal feeds. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Barbara Read Wilson; a sister, Four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at w p.m. Thursday in Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 1571 maple Ave., Evanston.
