- Mrs. Orpha D. Morris
Mrs. Orpha D. Morris passed away this morning at 7:20 o’clock at her home, 843 Boston place, following an illness of one year.
Mrs. Morris was born in Iron Hill, Iowa, November 10, 1883. She came to California from Lima, Ohio, 32 years ago and resided in Los Angeles prior to coming to Pomona where she had made her home for the last 25 years. She was a member of the First Christian church of this city.
Mrs. Morris was a trained nurse and for the last 15 years had been the nurse for the local office of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company.
Surviving relatives are two sons, Howard G. Morris, Pomona and Robert D. Morris of Hermosa Beach; two nephews, Noland Morris, Pomona; Charles Morris, Merced, Calif.; two nieces, Mrs. Juanita Deverman, Eagle Rock, Calif., and Miss Katharine Morris, Lima, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held in Todd & Reeves chapel Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock with the Rev. George N. Reeves, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Interment will be made in Pomona cemetery by the side of her husband, Robert D. Morris, who passed away February 25, 1923.
