Walter J. “Jack” Good, 66, died at 3:46 p.m. Oct. 23, 1996, at Toledo Hospital.
He was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Toledo to Alva and Fayetta Wilson Good.
On April 26, 1947, he married Helen G. Thompson, who survives.
Mr. Good retired in 1988 as a millwright at Central Foundry, Defiance, where he had worked since 1948. He was a member of the Continental Emergency Medical Service and fire department from 1954 to 1991, and was a past fire chief. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Continental.
Survivors also include three sons, Richard (Linda) Good of Defiance, Michael Good and Jeffrey (Deb) Good, both of Continental; two brothers, Earnest Good of Etna Green, Ins., and Alva A. Good of Paulding; two sisters, Betty Holtsberry of Paulding and Jenetta Husted of Sherwood; a stepsister, Eileen Edsell of Akron; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Good.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christ United Methodist Church, Continental.
The Rev. Robert Schreiner will officiate. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, and one hour before services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
