    Perry – Services for Mrs. Bernice Daniels, 61, of Oklahoma City and Perry, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church of Perry, with burial in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Daniels died Tuesday at the home of her son, 520 NW 46 Ter., Oklahoma City.
    She was born in Memphis, Tenn., and moved to Noble County in 1915. She lived in Oklahoma City from 1968 to 1971 when she worked at Kimberling’s Food Store. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
    Survivors include a son, Steven Daniels; three brothers, Earl Landsberger, Oklahoma City, Ed Tucker, Perry, and Charles Landsberger, Tulsa, and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Hopper, Greenwich, R.I., and Mrs. Louise Moore, Olympia, Wash.

    Former Resident Dies at Perry
    Funeral services were held Saturday for Percy Sterling Daniels at Perry, Oklahoma.
    Mr. Daniels at one time was head of the Weleetka City Light Plant. He died November 8 and had been ill since April. Mr. Daniels was born on April 28, 1885, in Chatfield, Minn. And came to Noble county, Okla., in 1897. He was married to Avis McKeown, November 30, 1907.
    His survived by his wife and one son, Cecil and two grandsons of Perry.
    Services were held at 10 a.m. in the Parker Chapel. The Masonic Blue Lodge had charge of the ceremony at the cemetery and the Perry Commander acted as escort. Burial was in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry.

    Percy Daniels, Former Utility Head, Is Dead
    Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Parker chapel for Percy Sterling Daniels, 77, 510 Fir avenue, former Perry water and light department superintendent, who died at 8.45 p.m. Thursday in the Perry Nursing home.
    Rev. Ernest Ackerman, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate and burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery.
    The Masonic Blue lodge will have charge of the ceremony at the cemetery and Perry Commandery will act as escort.
    Daniel headed the city utilities department from 1915 to 1941, was superintendent of the utility department at Weleetka from 1941 to 1947 and held the same position in Cherokee from 1947 to 1950. In 1950 he returned to Weleetka where he remained until 1953 when he retired and moved back to Perry.
    Daniels was born April 28, 1885 in Chatfield, Minn., and was married Nov. 30, 1907, in Perry to Avis McKeown who survives. He first came to this county in 1898.
    He was a member of the Masonic lodge, Knights Templar and Royal Arch Masons.
    Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Cecil Daniels of Perry and two grandchildren.

    Mrs. Chadwell Dies After Long Illness
    Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lucien Methodist church for Mrs. Eva Chadwell, 89, 723 Grove street, who died Saturday in a Cherokee hospital following a year’s illness.
    Rev. Pierce will officiate at the services and interment will be in McGuire cemetery at Lucien under the direction of the Parker funeral home of Perry.
    Mrs. Chadwell’s home was in Perry, but for several months she had made her home with a son, Percy Daniels, at Cherokee. Daniels is formerly of Perry.
    She was born July 22, 1860, in Chatfield, Minn., and moved to Oklahoma in 1893. Her family homesteaded a farm near Lucien. Mrs. Chadwell was married to Thomas Chadwell in 1894 at Arkansas City, Kan.
    Survivors other than her son are a brother, Ernest Benham of Enid; a grandson, Cecil Daniels, 917 Perry avenue, Perry; two granddaughters, Mrs. Leslie Raulston, Duncan, and Mrs. Marvis Burbridge of Aurora, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and a daughter.

    Ralph McKeown and Mrs. Conrad Casten and son, Herman, visited with relatives, Albert McKeown of St. Joseph, Mo., John McKeown of Agra, Okla., and his daughter, Mrs. Avis Daniels of Perry, Okla., who are visiting at the home of the Misses McKeown at Mediapolis.     Mr. and Mrs. John McKeown who live a mile north of Agra, started up highway 18 Sunday about 1 o’clock, to visit a sick child who lived a mile and a half north of the McKeown home. As Mr. McKeown made the turn into the home of Verdie Scheonhorse, their destination, their car was struck by a pick-up driven by Mr. Isenberg, sexton at the Cushing cemetery. Both cars were considerably damaged. With the exception of scratches to his face and a slightly sprained wrist of the Cushing man who was riding with Mr. Isenberg, no one was hurt. The sick girl whom the McKeowns set out to visit was very ill with her second attack of the measles. Mrs. Scheonhorse is a niece of Mrs. McKeown.

    John L. McKeown dies in Oklahoma.

    Mediapolis , Ia. – Chester McKeown, with his brother, Stanley McKeown, of Washington, left Saturday for Agra, Okla., having been called by the death of their father, John L. McKeown, 85, who died that morning. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons and a daughter, Mrs. Daniel Percy, of Weleetka, Okla.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mediapolis Methodist church with Rev. O.B. Rogers in charge. Burial will be in Kossuth cemetery.

    John L. McKeown rites yesterday. Funeral services for John L. McKeown, 85, former resident of this community who died at Agra, Oklahoma, Saturday, May 5, were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at Mediapolis Methodist church, Rev. O. B. Rogers officiating. Rev. Rogers and Inez Ferril, accompanied by Mrs. Paul Thayer at the piano, sang. Burial was at Kossuth cemetery. He was born 1 1/2 miles north of Mediapolis, Dec. 29, 1858, the son of John and Margaret Ann McKeown. He grew to manhood in this vicinity and was married to Sarah A. Shields, March 21, 1888, to which union were born three children, all surviving. Mr. and Mrs. McKeown lived at Mediapolis two years after their marriage, then moving to Oklahoma where they spent 18 years. They moved back to Mediapolis, where Mrs. McKeown died in 1916. On returning to Oklahoma, Mr. McKeown married Miss Nora Stanley, July 21, 1921, after which he made his home in Oklahoma until his death. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Stanley of Washington and Chester of Mediapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Perry Daniels of Weleetka, Okla.; two brothers, Parker McKeown of Letts and Albert McKeown of St. Joseph, Mo., and two sisters, Miss Samantha McKeown and Mrs. Emma Brewster of Mediapolis. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
