    • Ross McKeown Dies After Short Illness
      Well Known Superior Man Succumbs Wednesday – Was Former City Council Member
      Ross A. McKeown, for many years a resident of Superior, died Suddenly at Brodstone hospital Wednesday afternoon after a short illness. He was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning. Mr. McKeown had been ill for only a few days and his condition was not thought be to be critical. He was born on the home farm south of Superior where his brother Tom now resides. He has been a carpenter in Superior for a number of years, and his served several terms on the city council. Surviving are his wife, who was formerly Winnie Fitzgerald, a daughter, Joy, and son, Kenneth, a sister, Mrs. F.C. Smith of McCook and five brothers, Clifford of Kansas City, H.L. Of Danbury, Nebr., Tom and Irvin of south of Superior and W.E. of Superior.
      Funeral services will be held from the home Friday morning at 10:30 in charge of Rev. A.G. Swanson of the Methodist church.
