Olive McCray was born Dec. 6, 1834 in Indiana. She was the daughter of James McCray (1806-1860)and Mary Harlan (1809-1885). She married John H. Tull Aug. 25, 1853 in Des Moines County, IA. John Tull was born 1835 in Indiana and died abt 1866 in Des Moines County, IA.
James McCray was born Feb. 23 1816 in Greene, Ohio and died March 2, 1860 in Des Monies County FAG #73495985. Mary Harlan was born Dec. 8, 1809 in Union County, IN and died in Fairfield, Jefferson County, IA. (her FAG #73496091) They were both buried in Kossuth, Mediapolis, Des Moines County, IA.
John and Olive Tull had four children:
Viola A. Tull 1854-1926;
Mary Elizaberth Tull 1856- ;
James Lewis Tull 1858- ;
Myrtilla Elsada Tull 1861-1917.

- Olive McCray was born December 6, 1834, near Connersville, Ind., and died November 13, 1911, at Arapahoe, Nebr., aged 76 years, 11 months and 7 days.
When 17 years of age she moved with her parents to Des Moines, Co, Iowa, where she was united in marriage to John Hawkins Tull, August 25, 1853. To this union were born four children, Mrs. Viola A. Smith, Surprise, Nebr., Mrs. Mary E. Schwartz, Max, Nebr., Mrs. Myrtilla Hutchcroft, Mediapolis, Iowa, and James L. Tull, Arapahoe, with whom she made her home.
In the year of 1867 she united with the Christian church, and remained true to God to the end. Besides her four children, she leaves 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 25 grand-children to mourn her departure.
