Old Stone Cemetery

Old Stone Cemetery is located in most southeast corner of section 9, Franklin Township.
Old Stone Baptist Church was built in 1847 and is on the
National Register of Historical Places as an Iowa Historical Site.

From the intersection of Mt. Pleasant and Roosevelt Street, Burlington,
proceed North on U.S. 61 for approximately 9 miles.
Turn west on Sperry Lane. The cemetery is on the north.

Margaret (McBride) Parker (1792-1884)
John's sister, Margaret Parker (c1792-1869).
As far as we know all three were born in County Down, near Rathfriland, Ireland.

Headstones existed when the cemetery read was done.
We know that they lay due south of the Old Stone Church door and
by Emma C. Parker and her sister Ella I. Parker, daughters of M & M.
