1910 US census, Lowe, Nobel County, Oklahoma. Chester (age 11) and his older brother Stanley (age 13) are living with their parents John and Sarah. 
1920 US census, Yellow Springs, Des Moines County, Iowa. Chester is 21 and staying with his aunts Sarah and Samantha McKeown. 
1930 US census, Yellow Springs, Des Moines County, Iowa. Chester is 31 and head of his household with wife and two children.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2p.m. from Mediapolis Methodist church for Chester A. McKeown, 53, who died Sunday in Burlington hospital.  The body will be taken from the Wallen funeral home to the church Tuesday at 10 a.m.  Burial will be Kossith cemetery.

McKeown was born at Perry, Okla., Nov. 9 1898, and farmed for many years near Mediapolis.  About five years ago he moved to Espanola, N. Mex., and operated a trailer sales agency there.  He returned to Burlington a few days ago for surgery.

He married Minnie Wunnenberg at Sperry Jan. 14, 1920. He was a member of Mediapolis Methodist church, the Burlington Moose and the Valley masonic chapter at Espanola.  He served in the navy during World War One.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Thompson, Mediapolis, and Mrs. Lucille Hedges, Darien, Wis.; two grandchildren; a brother, Stanley, Washington, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Avis Daniels, Perry, Okla., and a stepmother, Mrs. Norah McKeown, Mediapolis.

Minnie C. McKeown

Minnie C. McKeown, 74, Darien, Wis., died at 1 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Beloit Memorial hospital, Beloit, Wis. She was born Oct. 14, 1898, in Sperry, the daughter of Fred and Anna Reihman Wunnenberg. She married Chester A. McKeown in Sperry in January, 1920.

She was of the Lutheran faith. Surviving: Two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Hedges, Sharon, Wis., and Mrs. Evelyn Thompson, Mediapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Anderson, Sperry, and Mrs. Mary May Ruschill, Burlington; three brothers, Vernon, Ralph and Alfred Wunnenberg, all of Burlington; four grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, Prugh's chapel, Rev. W.O. Talley; Kossuth cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Gideon Memorial Bible fund.
