Lucy Ann, B. Dec. 23, 1823; m. Henry Beadman Bryant, May 29, 1854. This was a double wedding, as her brother, Henry D. Stratton, married Henry B. Bryant's sister same date and place. Dr. Finney of Oberlin officiated. These young people had all been Oberlin College Students. She died in Chicago Feb. 11, 1870.

Henry Dwight Stratton was born in Amherst, O., Aug 24, 1924 and died in New York City, Feb 20, 1867. He was educated in the public schools of Amherst and in Oberlin College. He married Permela C. Bryant, May 29, 1954. A man of fine attainments, of attractive manners, deeply interested in educational progress, he became a benefactor to many you people. With his brother-in-law, Henry B. Bryant, he establised the "Bryant and Stratton Colleges, " which at the time of his death numbered more than fifty, located in the principal cities of the United States and Canada.

Stratton, Henry Dwight, educator, b.in Amherst, Ohio, 24 Aug., 1824; d. in New York city, 20 Feb. 1867. He was educated in the public schools of Lorain county and at Oberlin college, but was not graduated. With Henry B. Bryant he established the Bryant and Stratton business colleges, which at the time of his death numbered more than fifty, located in the principal cities of the United States and Canada.

- Henry Dwight Stratton was born on August 24, 1824 in Amherst, Ohio and attended the public schools in Amherst and then attended Oberlin College. He married Miss Parmella Bryant in 1854 in Cleveland, Ohio in a double wedding ceremony with his sister and brother-in-law Henry B. Bryant. The wedding was officiated by Dr. Charles Finney, a Protestant minister who was the president of Oberlin College. Along with his brothers-in-law, John Collins Bryant, and Henry Beadman Bryant, Stratton graduated from Folsom Business College in Cleveland, Ohio. The trio later purchased the school from the owner, Ezekiel G. Folsom, who founded his school in 1848. Bryant & Stratton College was officially organized in 1854 to provide practical workplace education, and was formerly known as Bryant and Stratton Business Institute. In addition to purchasing the Cleveland school, Bryant and Stratton established a number of business schools that operated under the name of Bryant & Stratton & Co's chain of International Commercial Colleges in most major US cities. By 1864 as many as 50 schools existed. Stratton died on February 20, 1867 in Manhattan, New York City, New York.
