Mrs. Joe Gage
Mrs. Hattie Bell Price Gage died Sunday morning at her home in this city after only a few days acute illness and her remains were interred in the Huntsville cemetery Wednesday afternoon, Rev. B. N. Weaver, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Berryville, conducting the funeral service, Rev. J. B. Presley and Rev. Jake Drake of this city assisting.
Mrs. Gage was born at Seranton, Mo., Sept. 24, 1874, came to Huntsville in early childhood with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Price; was married August 21, 1892, to Joe A. Gage and had resided here since. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Ola, Andrew, Lyman, Mrs. Ella King, Winnie, Elizabeth, Lorene and Allen of Fullerton, Cali., also by the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Lem Kendall of Berryville, Mrs. P.M. Cluck of Huntsville, Mrs. Lon Hudson of Marble, Ed Price of Fayetteville, now at Fullerton, Cali., A.A. Price of Fullerton. Jake Price whose address is not given and Jesse Price of Cartagena, Columbia, South America. All were present at the funeral except one son, Lyman, who recently wen to Fullerton, Cali., and the four brothers. Jesse, who had recently returned to the United States on business, arrived here only a few minutes after the funeral party had left the cemetery. Interment was delayed till Wednesday awaiting his arrival and that of the son, Oren, who reached here earlier in the day.
Mrs. Gage was one of the most highly esteemed ladies of this community and her friends are numbered as all who knew her.
