He was a farmer at Morrell, and a native of Jackson County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Fields Marcus; three sons, three daughters, a brother and a sister. He was born in Germantown, on September 10, 1919 to parents Harvey and Maud (Izor) Hollenbaugh. Mr. Hollenbaugh worked as a turn foreman for Armco Steel Corporation, retiring in 1982 after 37 years of service. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, where he was a POW in Germany following the Battle of the Bulge. He was born on March 23, 1941, in Allock, [Perry County], Kentucky the son of Velmer and Myrtle (Curtis) Moore, being educated in the Kentucky schools graduating from M.C. Napier High School. On May 1, 1957, in Hazard, Kentucky, he married Carolyn Baker. He was employed at Ford Motor Company as a manufacturing technician for 34 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Clair Ave. Baptist Church, Local Union #863 and Oxford Lodge #67 F&AM. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Hamilton; his children, Karen (Jeff) Eikens of Liberty Township and Kenneth A. (Gerry) Moore of Fairfield Township; six grandchildren, who were the love of his life, Shane, Brandi, Allen, Amanda, Angela, Danielle and one great-grandchild, Kaitlynn; one sister, Dorothy (Harold) Smith of Trenton; four brothers, Ralph (Geneva) Moore of Millville, Lee (Kathleen) Moore of Loveland, Buster (Hazel) Moore of Fairfield and Doug (Judy) Moore of Fairfield Township. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Malta Fugate. Funeral services will be Monday, December 15, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Clair Ave. Baptist Church, 695 St. Clair Avenue, Hamilton, with Pastor Ty Choate officiating. 289 | Deputy Marshal of Crab Orchard, Lige Hoskins, died at 10 a.m. on December 24, 1911, as a result of four bullet wounds received in a shootout with the Wallin brothers. The Wallins were involved in an altercation at John Riddle's soft drink stand on December 23rd. When Deputy Marshall Hoskins arrived, Walter Wallin drew his pistol and shot at Hoskins, striking him in the leg. Hoskins then drew his own weapon and shot Walter Wallin through the heart, killing him instantly. Firing as he backed out the door, Hoskins wounded Dud Wallin and Ben Howard. When he had reached the door, Jake Wallin came from across the street and began firing at Hoskins. Hoskins was out of bullets by that time, and was unable to return fire. Hoskins was shot four times by Jake Wallin. Jake Wallin was placed under arrest by Sheriff W. L. McCarty and charged with murder. He was a test foreman at Cummins Engine Co., retiring in 1982, was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of First Christian Church and the American Legion. Born June 23, 1927, in Columbus, he was the son of John and Doris Barros Zeigler, later Doris Zeigler Bryer Prather. He married Lorraine Hensley Oct. 18, 1946 in Columbus. She precede him in death Feb. 13, 1991. He married Gladys Parrigin March 21, 1992, in Columbus. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Stephen Zeigler of Stafford, Va.; grandchildren, Brandt V., Arianne S., and Nikolaas H. Zeigler, all of Stafford; a sister, Linda Bryer of Columbus; and half brothers, John Zeigler of North Carolina and Bill Zeigler. The Republic, Columbus, Indiana. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 12, 1925 to Troy and Katherine (Kelly) Townsend Sr. On August 13, 1943 in Hamilton she married Vernon Dittman, who preceded her in death in 1979. Inez was retired from New Miami Elementary and Sanders Elementary in Land O' Lakes, Florida and University Church of God Christian School in Tampa, Florida. She is survived by her Children, Steve (Janis) Dittman, Keith (Kathy) Dittman, and Rick (Peggy) Dittman; 10 grandchildren, Sandra (Terrence) Dornford, Steven (Mary) Dittman, Rick II (Carla) Dittman, David (Ellen) Dittman, Chris (Brooke) Dittman, Nick (Kristen) Dittman, Dustin (Lauren) Dittman, Brian Dittman, Lacey (Mike) Coone, and Wade Rivers; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and a brother, Troy Townsend Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Dittman; a daughter, Claudia Lee Dittman; a sister, Faye Wheatley; and her parents. 299 | Dolores C. Falk Baker, age 81, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, November 27, 2002. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Peter and Bertha French Falk. Dolores was a published short story and poetry writer and once a member of the Writer's Club in Indiana. She lived in Indiana, and Northwest Arkansas before moving to Little Rock in 1974, to be with her daughter. She was a member of Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters; Donna Mize, husband Billy of Little Rock, Bonnie Hawkins, Husband Charles of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dallas Baker of South Bend, Indiana, one brother Leonard Falk wife Alberta one sister Rita Treash all of South Bend, Indiana, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 300 | Dolphie Ray Cole, 62, of West Manchester, Ohio and formerly of Lewisburg, died on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Greenville, Ohio. Dolphie was born on November 25, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Adolph "Rudy" and Ada Ruth (Begley) Cole. Dolphie was a 1972 graduate of Lanier High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2010 from the Village of Lewisburg where he was a general laborer for 11 years. In addition to his parents, Dolphie is preceded in death by his sister, Vivian Deisher in 2006. Dolphie is survived by sister and dear friend, Tamara Lynn Cole and Mel Biederman; son, Tim Cole; grandson, Abel Cole; nieces and nephews. Full Military honors will be rendered by the Preble County Honor Guard at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg with the visitation immediately following until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow with Rev. David O. Justis officiating.
