    Heart Ailment Proves Fatal To E. Schmeiser
    Wapello – Emanuel Schmeiser, longtime resident of this community, died at his home two miles west of Wapello at 4:10 p.m. Sunday of a heart ailment.
    Born near Burlington on Sept. 16, 1872, the son of Jacob and Mary Reis Schmeiser, he married Christena Wehmeyer of Wapello.
    Survivors are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Clifford Berkey of Iowa City, Mrs. John L. Barnes of Winchester, Mass., Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Medical Lake, Wash., and Mrs. E.A. Walker of Arlington, Mass., two sons, Martin Luther Schmeiser of Carroll, Ia., and Lester Maurice Schmeiser of Wapello and a sister, Mrs. Tabitha Riepe of Burlington.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist church with the Rev. Russell G. Nye, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the Wapello cemetery with the Dudgeon Funeral home in charge.
