- Alice L. Robertson
McAllen – Alice L. Robertson went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 1997 at her home.
Alice was born on June 28, 1913 in Wapello, Iowa to the late Joseph and Mary Schmeiser. Alice had been a resident of McAllen for the past 30 years, previously living in Elsa. During her life, Alice was a schoolteacher in Iowa, Edcouch-Elsa and McAllen.
Alice was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church of McAllen, the South Texas Retired Teachers Association and the Rio Grande Valley Audubon Society.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clayton P. Robertson of McAllen; one son Dwight Robertson and his wife Becky Cantu of McAllen; two daughters, Linda H. Robertson of Alameda, Calif. and Carol A. Green and her husband Dough of Fairfax, Va.; six grandchildren, Lisa McCrory, Steve Robertson, Amy Pettus, Jason Green, Jeremy Green and Erin Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, May 21, 1997 at Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen. The family will be present to greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 1997, at St. mark United Methodist Church. Rev. Ricky Sanderford will officiate. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery on N. Taylor Road.
Services were entrusted to the care of Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen.
