Notes - Nellie Ella Felts
Banning – Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Ella Felts, 67, of 72 W. Hoffer Street, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Wiefels & Son Mortuary chapel.
The Rev. Charles Neigh, pastor of the banning Community Church of which Mrs. Felts was a member, will officiate.
Interment will be in San Gorgonio Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the mortuary chapel after 3 p.m. today.
The family said contributions may be made in the name of the deceased to the American Cancer Society, 619-G Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, California, 92506.
Mrs. Mollie Rausten reported that a Memorial Fund is being established in memory of Mrs. Felts by the Hospital Auxiliary, San Gorgonio Pass Memorial Hospital, 600 N. Highland Springs Avenue, Banning, California.
Mrs. Felts was a member of the Community Methodist Church Friendship Circle, AARP San Gorgonio Pass Chapter 10, Banning Woman’s Club, San Gorgonio Pass memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Romona Shrine 70 Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem, and a past matron and life member of the Order of Eastern Star, San Gorgonio Chapter 515.
Born December 24, 1898 in Iowa, Mrs. Felts had been a resident of California and Banning for 25 years. She died suddenly in Pass Hospital at 11:40 a.m. May 4, 1966.
Survivors include her daughter Mrs. Olga Rode of Inglewood, sister Miss Emma Riepe of Burlington, Iowa, and two grandchildren.
