Mediapolis – Frank Ruschill died unexpectedly at his home in Flint River township at 6:30 p.m. April 19.
Apparently in his usual health, Ruschill had been working abut the farm until the day he had retired from full participation in the farm management 6 years ago. A native of Austria, Ruschill was born Jan. 22, 1877, and was brought to the United States when he was 7 years old. On Feb. 26, 1901, he was married to Martha Sommerfeld, who survives, as do 6 children: Elmer Ruschill and Mrs. Florence Stoll, both of Burlington, Mrs. Stella Lucas and Mrs. Beatrice Mehmken, both of Sperry; Mrs. Hattie Nelson, Galesburg, Ill., and Raymond Ruschill, of Mediapolis.
Also surviving are 2 brothers: Joseph Ruschill, Burlington, and Charles Ruschill, Colfax; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters died previously.
Ruschill was a member of the IOOF and Rebekah lodges at Sperry.
Services will be held at the Sperry Methodist church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Rev. Gerald M. Rosenberge will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial park cemetery, Burlington.
The body is at the Fry chapel.
