Notes - Roy G. Ashton
Graveside services for Roy Gordon Ashton, 49, of RR 1, Colona, who died yesterday in Moline Public Hospital, will be at 3 tomorrow afternoon in Hampton Cemetery. Rev. Audley M. Bruce of First Baptist Church, Moline, will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 until 5 this afternoon and from 7 until 9 this evening at Fairman Mortuary, Green Rock.
Mr. Ashton was born in Farmington. He married Neola w. Whittacker Oct. 28, 1943 in Kahoka, Mo.
He was employed by Ideal Plumbing & Heating Co., Davenport. Mr. Ashton was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors are the widow; five daughters, Mrs. Rodger Belowski of Colona; Vivian, Sandra, Nora and Mary, all at home; a son, Roy Jr., also at home; two grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ashton of Canton; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Knox of Maquon, Mrs. William Burke of Canton and Mrs. John Hickard of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Robert and Kenneth both of Canton.
