Family of Henry Niehaus Sr.
Henry Niehaus Sr. was born in Germany on March 7, 1865. At the age of 2 years, he came to America with his mother Anna, father of William and sister Lu. His mother Anna (Fleer or Flaar of German spelling) Niehaus, was born in Jollenbeck Germany, on Dec. 16, 1832, and died Feb 20, 1925. Anna's parents are buried at Bielefedt cemetery in Germany.
Henry's father William died in a short time after arriving in America. Later his mother Anna married John Nesius, who was born May 12, 1822 and died Nov. 7, 1887. John Nesius was of Benton twp., where the Henry Niehaus family lived.
Henry Jr. grew up in Benton twp. and married Mary Riepie on Jan 4, 1893. At first they lived at the Louis Malchow farm in Huron twp. Later they purchased a farm of 170 acres in Benton twp., in ..... [text on Find a Grave ends here]
