    • Benton Township Woman Died After Long Illness
      Mrs. Irene Brandenberg, 36 years old, and wife of John F. Brandenberg of Benton township, died at her home, nine miles north of Burlington, early yesterday morning following an extended illness. She was born in Benton township September 6, 1887, and had lived in Des Moines county all her life.
      Besides her husband, Mrs. Brandenberg leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Kampmeier, one son, 11 years old, three brothers, Henry Kampmeier of Latty, Ed Kampmeier of Mediapolis, and William Kampmeier of Sperry, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Tiemann of Burlington, and Mrs. Julia Pforts of Latty. She was a member of the Evangelical Zion church near Latty.
      Funeral services will be held from that church Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock, preceded by private services at the home at 1 o’clock. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
