Notes - Helen L. Hinson, 83, of Kingston, died at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehabilitation.
She was born to Samson and Mathilda Stumpf Ertz. On April 11, 1942, she married Clifford W. Hinson in Burlington.
Mrs. Hinson worked for many years as a farmers wife. She worked for Campbell Chain and later IRC. She retired in 1984.
She was a 1940 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a lifelong member of SS. Mary & Patrick Catholic Church and belonged to the Alter and Rosary Society. She was an avid gardener and cake decorator. She took care of a large yard and many flowers until here illness made it impossible.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Michael and Robert, both of Kingston, and John of Mediapolis; daughter, Sandra Massick of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret "Peg" Geren of Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, four brothers, and three sisters.
The Mass of Resurrection was held at SS. Mary & Patrick Catholic Church in West Burlington, with the Rev. Gerald Stouvenel as celebrant and the Rev. Dennis Martin as concelebrant. [1, 2]
