Notes - Wendell Dusenbery
Wendell D. Dusenbery, 73, of 1012 Iowa St., Burlington, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Nov. 26, 1916, in St. Paul, Minn., he was the son of Raymond and Ula Overton Dusenbery. He married Frances Schmitz July 5, 1941 in Kahoka, Mo.
He was a machinist for Murray Trane Iron Works for over 41 years. He was an army veteran of World War II, a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and was a lifetime member of Machinist Union Local 1521. He was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Billy Dusenbery, Burlington; one brother, Jay Dusenbery, Port Washington, Wis.; one half-sister, Sherry Orth, Tempe, Ariz.; two half-brothers, Leonard Dawson, Knoxville, and Larry Dusenbery, St. Louis; and one granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel.
Services for Mr. Dusenbery will be 2 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Durk Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Faith Lutheran Church.
