- Descendants of Mrs. Dorothy Riemann hold annual reunion
Aged woman is guest of honor
Even held Sunday at Chautauqua Park at Mediapolis with many present.
Wapello, Ia., July 29. – The descendants of Mrs. Dorothy Reimann held their annual reunion Sunday at the chautauqua park at Mediapolis. Mrs. Reimann, who is 88 years of age was the guest of honor. A picnic dinner featured the noon hour and the afternoon was spent socially and pictures of the group were taken.
The personnel included Mrs. Riemann, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wunnenberg, Mr. and Mrs. George Reimann, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Whitaker, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thomas [Thomes], Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson, Nora, Retta and Roy Reimann, Ralph and Alfred Wunnenberg, Winona and Marcella Reimann, Genevieve Thomas [Thomes], Orval Anderson and William Walker of Sperry; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meyer of West Burlington; May Wunnenberg, Elmer Ruschill, Donald Sullivan of Burlington, and Mrs. Joseph Schmeiser and children Vera, Orval and Alice Schmeiser of Wapello.

- Mrs. Riemann is taken by death; rites Wednesday.
Mrs. Dorothea Riemann, 93, Wapello township in Louisa county, died at the Schmeiser home near Wapello Saturday night at 8:30.
She was the widow of Frederick Riemann who died in June, 1896. Surviving are a son, Fred Riemann, Sperry, and three daughters, Mrs. Fred Wunnenberg of Sperry, Mrs. Joseph Schmeiser of Wapello and Mrs. Fred Meyer of West Burlington.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and a brother, William Bremer of Burlington.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Burnett-Wapello funeral home. The Rev. R. R. Belter, pastor of Bethany Lutheran church, will conduct the service. Burial will be in St. Paul's church cemetery, Kingston.

R.R. Belter, pastor of Bethany Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s church cemetery at Kingston.
Mrs. Riemann was born in Germany Oct. 12, 1842 and came to America in 1865. She was the widow of Frederick Riemann, who died in 1896. She is survived by a son, Frederick of Sperry, three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schmeiser, Wapello; Mrs. Fred Wunnenberg, Sperry; Mrs. Fred Meyer, West Burlington. There are 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A brother, William Bremer, also survives.

R.R. Belter, pastor of Bethany Lutheran church. Burial will be in the St. Paul’s church cemetery at Kingston.
