    Born December 20, 1923, she was the daughter of John Everett and Clara (Miller) Howe. She married Orville F. Anderson January 24, 1948 in Burlington. He died October 4, 2004.

    Helen was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church and Des Moines County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed playing checkers, playing Canasta, and tending to her sizeable garden. She was always ready to help out by bringing lunch out to the fields, and in her younger years, driving tractors to the fields and helping with harvest.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Lyman.
