    Mrs. Bonnie Jean Scott, 44, a native of Burlington, died in a fire in a barn behind her home at Desoto, Tex., Thursday, Jan. 12.

    She was born Feb. 5, 1933, in Burlington, the daughter of Alfred and Wilma Schuler Wunnenberg. She married Paul Edmund Scott, Sept. 8, 1951, at Dodgeville; he died Nov. 8. 1977.

    She was a housewife and a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.

    Cheryl Faye Scott, 59, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away in Fort Pierce, Florida.

    Cheryl moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida from Roscoe, Illinois in 2016.

    Cheryl was a symbol of courage and fight to everyone around her and always brought a smile to light up the room. She loved making crafts and sending out gifts to all of her friends around the holidays. All of the kids that she worked with at school looked up to her and were always excited to see what she had in store for the day. She was a wonderful friend to many and she will continue to inspire everyone that knew her for years to come. Finally, she was an amazing mother to her son Bradley, always helping him and motivating him to work his hardest at anything he set his mind to. Her family thanks anyone who has helped keep her spirits high throughout her final journey.

    Survivors include son, Bradley Parsons of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; Karen (Steven) Hogberg of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; nephews Bryan Hogberg of Buffalo Grove, Illinois and Mathew (Jewel) Hogberg of Kansas City, Missouir. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Bonnie, Soctt.

    Memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Tribute Center.
