Notes - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today for Dan Anderson at the Olin Funeral Home in Joy, Ill. with the Rev. James Hancock of Joy United Methodist Church officiating. Masonic services were held Sunday night.
Burial was at Eliza Creek cemetery.
Mr. Anderson, 82, died at 2:45 Saturday morning at Muscatine General Hospital. He resided at route 1, New Boston.
Born Dec. 11, 1887 in Des Moines County, he was the son of Charles and Isabel Tee Anderson. He married Mollie Noble at New Boston March 1, 1911. he was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a fifty year member of New Boston Masonic Lodge. His occupation was farming.
Survivors are his wife, Mollie; one son, Martin L., Joy; three daughters, Mrs. Everett (Maxine) Welch, New Boston, Mrs. Lytle (Velma) Lambert, Muscatine, route 1, and Mrs. Myrle (Shirley) Ball, New Boston; three brothers, Roy, Sperry, George, Redwood City, Calif., Jason, California; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Swank, California; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
