Notes - Genevieve M. Mellinger, 76, of the Morning Sun Care Center, formerly of Sperry, died Thursday, January 21, 1999, at the care center.
Born March 23, 1922, near Sperry, she was the daughter of Clarence and Pearl Wunnenberg Thomes. She married Adrian Mellinger November 21, 1946, at Mediapolis.
She was a graduate of Sperry High School, attended the Kingston United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Steve Mellinger of Sperry; two daughters, Connie Ralston of Burlington, and Debbie Kennedy of Yarmouth; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after noon today, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis.
The funeral for Mrs. Mellinger will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, with the Reverend Melvin Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Kossuth Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Kingston United Methodist Church.
