- Frederick Siegrist, Jr.
Kingwood, Texas – Retired Colonel Frederick Gray Siegrist, Jr., born April 12, 1919 to Frederick and Helen Siegrist, Indianapolis, Indiana, died Friday, June 20, 2003 in Humble, Texas at the age of 84.
Formerly of Cocoa, Florida, he and his wife moved to Kingwood, Texas two years ago to be close to family.
Fred graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and later earned a Masters Degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
A lifetime career officer in the U.S. Air Force, he served his country during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Upon retiring, Fred taught industrial management and developed a technical photography degree program at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Fla.
Col. Siegrist is survived by his daughters, Caroline Lewis (David) of Beaver Falls, Pa., Joan Brake (Norman) of Largo, Fla., and Laura Moodie (Bart) of Kingwood, Texas; son, Christopher Siegrist (Bonnie) of Houma, La.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 2929 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339, with Fr. Victor Sheldon of Baton Rouge, La., officiating.
For those desiring, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Pastoral Care Ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
