- Charles L. Wischmeier
A resident of this vicinity for the past twenty years, Charles L. Wischmeier, 67, passed away Saturday evening at Oaklawn hospital following a six months illness. He had been confined at the hospital the past week.
Mr. Wischmeier was born in Burlington, Iowa, Sept. 11, 1867. He was married in Iowa forty years ago, and for a number of years prior to coming to Michigan he had worked for the railroad. Since coming to Michigan he had resided on a farm in Marshall township.
Surviving relatives are his widow, Mary, two brothers, Chris and Fred both of Burlington, Ia., and several nieces and nephews.
A prayer service was held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Kelser-More funeral home. This evening the remains will be sent to Sperry, Iowa where funeral services will be held and interment will be given on Wednesday, the 68th birthday anniversary of Mr. Wischmeier.
